چکیده

Background Calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate (CaPPD) deposition disease is a illness with wide range of manifestations from acute gout-like episodic arthritis to an accentuated osteoarthritis picture. A common feature the CaPPD crystals in tissues. Middle ear involvement rare manifestation disease, described few case reports. Objectives Methods Histological examination operating specimen. HRCT. Results 71-year-old man, athlete (tennis, cycling) underwent partial menisectomy 2008 for knee blockade, October 2022 he suffered polytrauma after traffic injury. Het treated arterial hypertension. He has never had inflammatory arthritis, joint problems only connection sports injuries. Last 12 months observed gradually progressing hearing loss, mild dizziness and tinnitus. HRCT scull base demonstrated left-sided osteoma fixation malleus. Tumor mass was removed by surgery. Histology proved calcium material. We have not hyperparathyroidism, hypomagnesemia, or any other primary associated deposition. During subsequent X-ray examination, we found chondrocalcinosis menisci both knees. Conclusion Deposits middle region are disease. Clinically, progressive loss may occur, morphologically resemble be clinical signs underlying Reference [1]Serrano MG et al: J Royal Soc Med open 2020;11:1-4 Acknowledgements: NIL. A Rare Case of Tumoral Calcium Pyrophosphate Dihydrate Crystal Deposition Disease of the Wrist Joint

Introduction. Tumoral calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate (CPPD) crystal deposition disease (CPPDCD), also known as tophaceous calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease (CPDD), is a tumorlike lesion, and it should be distinguished from usual CPDD that causes severe joint inflammation and arthralgia. A case of tumoral CPPDCD of the wrist joint that required differentiation from synovial osteochondrom...

Calcium Pyrophosphate Dihydrate Crystal Deposition Disease of the Sternoclavicular Joint

Deposition of calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate (CPPD) crystals in the articular structures affects predominantly temporomandibular, knee, hip, spine, and wrist joints, and is a rare condition, often mimicking malignancy. Sternoclavicular joint is extremely rarely involved. We present a patient with swelling of the right upper extremity, in whom on computed tomography a mass posterior to the ster...

Calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystal deposition disease of the temporomandibular joint.

A case of a 74-year-old woman with calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystal deposition disease of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is presented. This disease rarely involves the TMJ and is not usually considered in the differential diagnosis of TMJ disorders. To our knowledge, only 23 cases have been reported in the literature and only four without any destructive changes of the condyle as in t...

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Diagnosis in Calcium Pyrophosphate Dihydrate Crystal Deposition Disease.

Calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate (CPPD) crystal deposition disease is extremely versatile. We present the case of a 52 years old patient referred for inflammatory pain of the left knee and ankle of recent onset with intense inflammatory syndrome that mimics rheumatoid arthritis. Musculoskeletal ultrasound was able to detect effusion, hyperechoic crystals within the cartilage and fibrocartilage, ...
